18 Holes

This weekend we drove to SC to watch Tim's sister, Mary, play golf. She is a senior at Campbell University and plays on their golf team. Even though it rained most of the weekend we walk the course with umbrellas over head. Charlotte was a trooper and made it through almost 18 holes without a peep. We are hoping to attend another of Mary's tournaments before she graduates. Go Fighting Camels!!!

A Bushel

Today we took Charlotte apple picking. We had a great time stomping through a quaint orchard in Troutville, VA. Charlotte loved picking the apples and putting them directly in her mouth...what's a little pesticide between friends. Tim finished a big case this week so it was wonderful to spend time as a family again. Enjoy the pics!

Labor Day

We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend with Lauren's parents. On Saturday we visited wineries near Smith Mountain Lake. At our last stop we enjoyed a bottle of wine and picnic lunch under a huge tree over looking the vineyard. It was a perfect and relaxing afternoon! The rest of the weekend was spent playing with Charlotte and enjoying each other. Thanks Mom and Dad Momany for a wonderful weekend!

Family Fun

Last week both of our families came for a visit. The first half of the week the three girls (Lauren, Grammy and Charlotte) made the trip to Farmville, VA to shop at Greenfront, 15 warehouses of furniture, rugs and accessories. If you haven't been before it is definitely worth the trip. I bought a new rug for our living room. I am so excited to have the rug for Charlotte to play on. Charlotte is turning out to be a great shopper. It runs in the family!

The second half of the week Tim's parents, sister Elizabeth, her husband Tim and Tim's grandparents also came to visit us in Roanoke. It was a rainy weekend so we spent most of the time hanging around the house eating and catching up. We are so thankful to have families that are willing to travel so far to visit us and our little girl.

Back to the County!

On Friday the Mattson's made the 4 hour trek back to York County. We spent the week visiting old friends and both sets of grandparents and great grandparents. Charlotte attended her first birthday party for her friend Lydia. She loved getting to play with Emma, Brayden and Taylor who were also at the party. We attended our first church service in WEC's new building...it was AWESOME!!! Charlotte also went swimming for the first time at her Aunt Heather's pool. She loved the water. Swimming lessons are definitely in her future. It was a wonderful relaxing week!
