In preparation for an event I am helping to plan we made a trip this weekend to the Homestead. If you haven't been to the Homestead it is a beautiful resort located in Bath, VA. The resort was built in 1766 and is filled with tons of southern charm. Although we did a few hours of work most of our time was spent enjoying the resort and each other. We decided that one day at the Homestead was definitely not enough.
The Great Hall as you enter the resort.
Charlotte and Ellie playing while we checked in.
Enjoying a little afternoon tea
I hope this is the first of many tea parties Charlotte, Emma and I will share together.
Playing on the hotel bed...lets not try this at home.
Who needs a beautiful resort when you have a luggage cart to play with.
Emma cruised around the resort like a champ.
Charlotte fell in love with the monkey bars on the playground.
The back lawn of the Homestead. The only thing that would make this more perfect would be a good book and a glass of sweet tea!
Our room had a walk in closet that was just the perfect size for Charlotte. We had to wake her up at 9 am for breakfast...yay!
Charlotte ran through the front lawn of the hotel on her way to the fishing pond. She was excitedly asking for a "hook" aka a fishing rod.
