The first week in August the girls and I spent a fun filled week at my parent's in Yorktown, VA (area code 757...for those of you who may have been confused by the post's title). The week was filled with many exciting adventures including Charlotte's first trip to the movies. My mom and sister took her to see the new Pooh movie. They said her jaw dropped when they walked into the theater and her mouth remained open the entire hour and five minutes they were there. It was a special treat. We also spent a lot of time at the beach and pool, two of my most favorite ways to spend a summer day. I think Charlotte inherited my love for the water. She was so brave and was swimming in the ocean and pool all by herself...with a life jacket of course. The girl's also had the special treat of spending time with three of their great-grandmothers. It was a wonderful week and I came home feeling rejuvenated. Thanks Mom and Dad!

Playing in the water with Emma and Taylor.

engagement picture taken in.
She may not be wearing a bathing suit but she was styling in that hat.

she was going to take Emma home.

Charlotte is a little fish and loved the pool.
