Baby It's Cold Outside

While temperatures have been in the twenties it has not kept us from enjoying the snow outside. We took a long walk as the flakes began to fall. Enjoying the view of our mountains as the flurries swirled around. The snow didn't really start accumlating until it was almost dark so we turned the flood lights on in the backyard and Charlotte and I went sledding for over an hour in the dark.  It was one of those moments I will always remember.
 Catching snowflakes on our tongues.
The girls played hide and seek as the snow was falling.
Finding icicles on the tree in our front yard.
Stopping for a moment so I could take her picture.
She said she was planting seeds in the snow.

The Tooth Fairy Makes Another Visit

For several weeks Charlotte kept telling us that her front tooth was loose.  I continually asked her to stop wiggling it.  I was just not ready for my baby girl to hit this snaggletooth milestone.  But despite my persistent nagging her front tooth fell out.  She was so proud and told everyone we saw over the next couple days that she "pulled out her front tooth and there was a lot of blood" (which there wasn't).She even insisted on showing the hole in her mouth to our pastor after church.  That evening we put her tooth under her pillow and awaited a visit from the Tooth Fairy.  The next morning Charlotte found the Tooth Fairy left her two dollar bills covered in fairy dust along with a sweet note.  Charlotte was very excited and has already started working on her other front tooth so the Tooth Fairy will visit again.  Our baby girl is growing up fast!

I think she looks pretty cute!!!

Farwell Mrs. McClure

Charlotte had a wonderful first year of preschool in Mrs. McClure's class.  She is one of the kindest and sweetest teachers you could ever imagine.  Here are a few pics from Charlotte's end the of year program.
At first Charlotte loved being on stage...
then she wasn't so sure.
One final hug from Mrs. McClure.
Grammy came for the final program and picnic afterwards.
We were so happy she could be here to celebrate with us.

Three Toed Sloth

This spring we had a little scare with Charlotte. While pretending she was a three toed sloth (do you think she has watched to much Diego?) she fell from a tree branch in our backyard.  I was out of town but Tim took her to the emergency room where they suspected she broke the growth plate in her arm.  She was so brave during the entire process.  She had to get several x-rays and ending up wearing two different casts over a six week period.  Both casts were purple, her favorite color.  We are thankful that everything healed correctly and that the cast was removed a week before her big debut as a flower girl in cousin Abby's wedding.

He is Risen

Our Easter started off with gift baskets and then we were off to church to celerate our Risen Lord.   After church our dear friends the Correas had us over for a lovely lunch and egg hunt.  It was a wondeful day!
Before church in their matching Easter dresses.
A beautifully set Easter table.  My friend Amanda and I made all of the little
burlap bunny bags.  They came out so cute!
She was such a big girl hunting for eggs all by herself.
Racing for another egg.
Proud of their full baskets.
Me and my girls.
Best friends relaxing after the egg hunt.
