Pool Days
This summer we joined a local pool and Charlotte and I are spending a couple hours there every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Charlotte is not quite sure what she thinks about getting in the baby pool by herself but she loves playing with buckets of water on the edge. I am looking forward to making many wonderful memories with her this summer.

A Girl's Best Friend
I left Charlotte int her playroom while I took a shower and when I returned this is what I found. What a cutie!!!
Charlotte was fast asleep on a new stuffed dog named Mozart.
Blue Bird Gap Farm
Tim had a business trip in Chesapeake so Charlotte and I tagged along and spent the weekend with my parent's home in Yorktown, VA. During our visit I was able to see my good friend Rachael and her adorable kids Grace and Luke. We took the kids to Blue Bird Gap Farm. The kids loved seeing the animals and playing on the playground. It was great to spend time with such good friends.

A Berry Fun Day
We spent Memorial Day with some sweet friends at a Strawberry Festival. We ate barbecue, listened to Blue Grass and picked some of the sweetest strawberries I have every tasted. Charlotte could hardly resist and was eating the strawberries straight out of the bucket.

Charlotte is always ready for an adventure.
Having fun during a tour of the farm.
Our brave little girl after going down a jumbo slide.
In the fielding hunting for strawberries.

SML Day
This weekend we went to Smith Mountain Lake (SML) with our small group from church. We had a short Bible study in the morning and then spent the day playing outside. The house had a small beach area. This was Charlotte's first time playing in sand. She didn't know what she thought at first but had a great time after she got comfortable. I am hoping this is the beginning of many beautiful days we will spend outside together this summer.
Daddy can I have a beach in my backyard?
Higher Daddy, Higher!!
I think I might like the sand.

I'm a Big Girl!
Yesterday Charlotte decided it was time to start feeding herself with a spoon. The first food she attempted was yogurt. She did pretty good getting it from the cup into her mouth but still needed a bath after her breakfast. I can't believe how big she is!!

P.S. You gotta love the bed head.
