Hooray...Emma has Arrived!!!

Emma Grace has arrived!! She is absolutely beautiful and the perfect addition to our family. She arrived at 9:34 am February 12th. She weighed 6 lbs 13 oz and measured 18 1/2 inches long. You can already sense that she has a very sweet and gentle spirit. Charlotte is in love with her little sister as you can see from the pictures. The Mattsons couldn't be happier as a family of four!!

She's Two!!!

Our sweet little Charlotte has turned two. She is growing up so fast. Here are a few updates on our little big girl!!

• She weighs 29 lbs and is 31 inches tall
• She wears a size 7 shoe
• She love Elmo and Miss Pattycake
• She has just started sleeping in a big girl bed
• She loves to laugh and has a great sense of humor
• She loves her friends and gets very excited to play with other kids so much so that we had to make a no kissing rule!
• She loves to read books
• Her new phrases include super-duper, guess what, look mommy, and what's that
• She is a big time dancer...she looks like she took lessons from Elaine from Seinfeld.
• She loves wearing her pink cowgirl boots
• She loves life!!!

Charlotte we feel so blessed to have you as our daughter. We pray you grow to know, love and serve the Lord!

Maternity Pictures

Thanks to a dear friend here in Roanoke I was able to capture the end of my pregnancy and some special moments with me and Charlotte. I am so thankful the Lord blessed us with daughters...girls are so fun!!

ABC Shower

My sweet friends here is Roanoke gave me a beautiful shower. Every detail was perfect and the food was delicious! We were showered with much needed supplies as well as several fun items. I think we are ready for Emma to arrive!!

In January we went home to Yorktown for our first baby shower and our last visit before baby Emma arrives. My sweet friends Karen and Tabitha gave me a beautiful shower. It was wonderful to see family and several old friends. The Lord has so richly blessed us!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

December was filled many special events. We baked Christmas cookies, visited Santa, hosted our annual birthday party for Jesus, opened presents, went to Busch Gardens, walked through a live nativity...and to top it off we had snow!!! It was a wonderful Christmas and we will always cherish the memories made.
