With Charlotte and Emma's birthdays just three days a part we celebrated with a joint Ballerina Party. We played pin the tutu on the ballerina, made ballerina and cowboy paper dolls and dined on pizza and ballerina cupcakes. It was a sweet time with dear friends as we celebrated our girls.

Emma Grace is 2!
I can't believe how quickly the last two years have gone. I feel like it was yesterday that I was bringing you home from the hospital. You are such a delight. You give great hugs and kisses. You are my little organizer and love cleaning up. Your beloved bunny comes with you everywhere you go. You love watching Elmo and Diego. You are a great dancer. You are a very picky eater but never turn down chocolate or ice cream...but who could blame you. You love books and could spend the whole day being read too. My heart bursts with love for you. Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Charlotte Ann Turns 4!
Charlotte Ann your 3rd year of life was filled with many loves and special moments. You started preschool. Your love for Disney princesses began with Jasmine as your favorite. You love ice cream and ask for it almost everyday. You are crazy good at riding your scooter and go shockingly fast with one leg in the air. You have an awesome vocabulary and use words like stupendous, stunning, and darling. You love loud rock and roll music. You are affectionate and give us kisses, hugs and snuggles without end. You love to have tea. We went on a mommy-daughter date to Disney on Ice. You got rid of your paci. It was a great year baby!
Happy Birthday Charlotte Ann! We are so proud of the little girl you have become. You are kind, imaginative and you never meet a stranger. You bring such joy to our lives. We love you!

So Long Dear Friend
For those of you who don't know Charlotte loves her paci....not just likes but LOVES. The other night she was getting ready for bed when she realized her pacifier had torn. While we knew for a while it was time to lose the paci, I (not we) had not gathered the courage to get rid of it. Thankfully it broke on its own. Charlotte was obviously upset and insisted that we call the paci man and have him send her a new paci...who is the paci man you ask....I have no idea. She continued to explain to us that she needed her paci because she wasn't a baby and couldn't suck her thumb. When I offered to buy her a new special stuffed animal for her to snuggle with at night she declared "But mommy you can't suck on stuffed animals!". After reassuring her and explaining why we couldn't buy her a new paci we gave her big hugs and left the room. She whimpered for a few minutes and then we heard her talking. She was telling the whole story of how her paci broke, how she needed a new one and nothing else would do. She finally drifted off to sleep but the next morning she told Tim that she prayed that God would give her a new paci. It melted my heart that she would go to Jesus for help. Obviously God did not give her a new paci but she has done fantastic with out it. We are so proud of her and the little lady she is becoming.

Winter Wonderland
My Mom was here for a visit when we received our first big snow of the year. Charlotte had a blast sledding, building a snowman and playing with her buddy Alex (for the record I kept putting gloves on Charlotte but she kept pulling them off). Little Emma felt different about the snow. It was too cold and she felt confined in her snow suit. After a few pictures, some tears and a trip on the sled she headed inside for some play time with her Grammy. After several good runs down our sledding hill Charlotte and I enjoyed a little hot cocoa on the front step...yummy!

Memorial Day
Our family spent the morning of Memorial Day at the D-Day Memorial in Bedford, VA. It was a wonderful way to honor the men and women who gave their lives for our freedom.

Big Wheels Are Back
Today we went to Toys"R"Us to pick-up a surprise for Charlotte. My parents wanted to buy her a new bike and per her request they bought her a Harley Davidson Big Wheel. We asked if she wanted a Dora bike or a pink bike but she just kept saying she wanted a motorcycle bike like her friend Alex. Once I got the bike put together this afternoon she rode all over our cul-de-sac with her buddy Alex, they had a blast. It was hilarious watching her cruise in her new motorcycle while sporting a ballerina costume. She is such a cutie!!!
Emma was practicing her walking while eyeing the motorcycle
she hopes to ride one day!
