Fondue and Craft Night

A few weeks ago I had the women from our small group at church over for a Fondue and Craft Night. Below are a few pictures courtesy of my friend Amanda. We had a wonderful time eating, chatting and getting crafty.

Let's Have a Party!

Last Thursday I hosted my first dinner party since moving to Roanoke. It was so nice to be hosting people in our home again. Even though our house is not very big, I had 14 women from my Thursday morning Bible Study over for dinner and dessert. It was a tight squeeze but I think everyone had a wonderful time. I am so thankful for these women and have been blessed by their friendship.

Girly - Girl

Charlotte is turning into a girly girl. She loves trying to carry my purse and she pushes her baby stroller every where. I am sure she is going to be a wonderful mommy someday. If only I could get her to keep bows in her hair.

Our Little Sweetheart Turned One!

Our little sweetheart has turned one! This year has been a whirlwind. I feel like we just brought her home from the hospital yesterday. Charlotte has been the perfect addition to our family and we couldn't imagine life without her. She is an affectionate little girl ready to give hugs and kisses to everyone she meets. Even people in the grocery store. She always has a smile on her face and lights up every room that she enters. She has a great sense of humor and is a joy to be around. She isn't walking yet, but is a veracious crawler. She eats like a champ and especially loves broccoli and any kind of meat. At her one year check up Charlotte weighed in at 21 lbs. 12 oz and measured 30 inches long. Oh how we love this little girl!!!

Here are a few pictures from Charlotte's sweetheart themed birthday party. We held the party at my parent's house in Yorktown, VA. Both of our parents, grandparents, several of our siblings, and many dear friends came to celebrate with us.

Grammy gives Charlotte a quick snack before the party starts.

Thanks Tutu for letting me drinking out of your big cup.

Hey Daddy I can blow out my own candles!!

Hmmm...this cake is good!

Charlotte's BFF Grace gives her some much needed help with presents.

I'm ready for some sun.

Charlotte did great opening gifts. Thanks everyone for your generosity.

The Big Snow

Our fourth snow storm this winter hit yesterday. We got about 12 inches of snow and we already had about 5 inches on the ground...needless to say we have a lot of snow here in Roanoke. Today we took Charlotte out to play. She wasn't sure what she thought about being all bundled up, but I think in the end she had a great time. If she didn't Tim and I sure did!
When can I play in the snow?

Charlotte and Tim sled down our man-made hill in the back yard.

I'm a big girl now!

That was fun!
